brow / lash lamination lift

Lamination (aka “lift + tint”) is the ideal way to achieve the desired look for natural brows and lashes. This treatment is essentially a perm, setting the hairs into your ideal shape; while tinting temporarily dyes and accentuates them. This non-invasive enhancement thickens, lengthens and darkens the brows and lashes all while stimulating hair growth.

The formula used combines ingredients that nourish and hydrate hairs, enriched with cocoa butter, biotin, hyaluronic acid, vitamin B3, aloe vera and more. Using only the most beneficial ingredients, this means each time you repeat the treatment it helps strengthen and rebuild the integrity of the hairs. Lamination requires little maintenance to keep them looking lifted, healthy and hydrated! Please visit "FAQ" to learn more.

Brow Lamination

Before / After

Brow lamination involves straightening the brow hairs upward to create a brushed up, fluffy effect. This fills gaps and gives the illusion that you have thick, luscious brows! The ultimate solution for eyebrows that do not have symmetry where the hairs follow a different pattern. Lamination realigns the hairs in a way which gives you the desired shape and a fuller look. All Lamination treatments include tinting and shaping.

No matter what your brow concern is — gaps, thinning, overplucking, unruliness — it is an amazing solution and a great microblading/shading alternative! This procedure recreates the brows without the need of needles or semi-permanent makeup.

BENEFITS:

✧ Gives a new structure and redirects the brow hairs to your desired shape

✧ Creates a sleek, clean look without the need for brow gel

✧ Produce a fuller look, giving the illusion of denser brow hairs by filling gaps

Before / After

Before / After

Lash lamination has revolutionized old, inadequate perming techniques and is the #1 alternative to lash extensions. This new technique can lift and lengthen your natural lashes from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion. This creates a brighter, fuller, wide-eyed look. Choose between black or brown lash tint to be applied during the treatment to enhance and bolden your lashes.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication is a condition or factor that increases the risks involved in a treatment. It is important to prevent further harm, cross-contamination and infection for both the client and artist.

PLEASE REFRAIN IF YOU ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONTRAINDICATIONS:

× Under 18 years old
× Allergies to perming solution or dye
× Alcohol or caffeine (please refrain 24 hours before your appointment)
× Botox, waxing or threading (must wait 2 weeks)
× Cataracts/glaucoma
× Cancer or chemotherapy in last 6 months
× Contact lenses (please remove before your appointment)
× Cosmetic tattoos or eye surgery (must wait 6 weeks)
× Eye infections or a degenerative eye disease
× Facial procedures (skin must not be open or in regeneration phase)
× Lashes grow downwards into the eye
× No natural eyelashes
× Pregnant or nursing
× Skin conditions (eczema, shingles, psoriasis, undiagnosed rashes/blisters, etc.)
× Stomach sleepers or lash pluckers

Unfortunately, brow lamination or lash lifting is not suitable for all types of eyes. It is best suited for those with reasonably full brows and lashes – sparse hairs do not allow for great results. If you’re unsure, you can send a photo for a consultation!

Alternatively, microblading/shading is a great, more permanent solution for those with sparse brows and wanting to achieve a fuller brow look. Consider lash extensions if you’re looking to add more length and volume to your lash line.

Expectations

As a brow/lash specialist, I ensure that the correct colors and styles are chosen for you. Note that your prep is very important since this sets up the foundation for your new brows/lashes and how it adheres to the hairs. Results are dependent on how much hairs you have.

DURING:

Expect the procedure to be more or less than ~1 hour. Total time depends on how the hairs react.

When you arrive, we will assess your brow/lash health and have a quick consultation to discuss expectations, maintenance and fill out paperwork.

These procedures are non-invasive and it's more of waiting game for each step to set. Most clients choose to nap during this time!

→ For Brow Lamination, we start with slicking the hairs upwards giving us our overall shape. Next, a perming cream will be applied to lift your hairs, followed by a neutralizer to help seal your brows into place. The last step is a moisturizing serum to help prevent irritation and dryness.

→ As for Lash Lifts, we start with gluing silicone shields on your upper lids and aloe vera gel pads under your eyes. The lashes will then be slicked upwards from the root onto a silicone shield to give them a curled, lengthened look. Next, a perming cream will be applied to lift your hairs, followed by a neutralizer to help seal your lashes into place. The last step is a moisturizing serum to help prevent irritation and dryness.

AFTER:

The great thing about lamination is having little to no maintenance! Although immediately after your service, your brows or lashes may seem stiff. This will soften after the first day, and it is best not to touch the treated area as this will weaken the lift from the natural oils on our fingers.

Keep in mind that your aftercare makes 70% of the results! Please follow your aftercare instructions carefully as this will prolong the life of your lamination.

prep

Please wash your face and hair before your appointment. Remove contact lenses if necessary.

Brow Prep: No exfoliationg, tweezing, waxing, or threading 24 hours before.

Lash Prep: DO NOT use mascara, oil-based makeup or makeup removers before/after your appointment (this will weaken the solution).

If you currently have lash extensions, they need to be removed at least 3-7 days prior.

aftercare

24 HOURS: Do not touch, wet or apply any makeup/product on the treated area.

Try to keep as dry as possible. It is advised to avoid water, steam, humidity and sweating. If they become wet, gently pat dry and brush them back up into shape.

2+ DAYS: Routinely brush with a spoolie. When washing your face, wipe the hairs upwards as you wet and style them.

Apply small dab of serum or castor oil to nourish and promote hair growth (optional).

Please DO NOT:
× Pick or pull at the treated area
× Sleep on your stomach or side as this will weaken the lift

LAMINATION FAQ

  • This procedure lasts about 4-8 weeks with little to no maintenance! But this can be affected by several variables, including how quickly new hair growth comes through. Good aftercare will prolong the long-lasting effects! There are some situations that may cause the lift to weaken prematurely such as skincare, swimming or heat.

  • There is no need for maintenance appointments, but treatments are repeatable every 4-6 weeks to lift the new hair growth. It will begin to naturally drop after a few weeks and your hairs will go back to their natural state.

  • Absolutely not! If you do feel any pain the treatment should be stopped immediately as this is completely pain-free. Patch tests are highly suggested if you are concerned with allergic reactions!Item description

  • Various chemicals are used on the brow hairs, which inevitably – due to the physiology of the eyebrow, do come into contact with the skin. If your eye area has dry skin, eczema or is inflamed/easily irritated, Lamination may not be the best service for you, as it may irritate your skin.

  • Yes, you can! However, it is very important to ensure that the cosmetic tattoo is completely healed, as to not disrupt the healing process and results. Brow Lamination can be used to effectively ‘lengthen’ the brows over the tattooed area, giving the edges a fluffier, more natural look.

  • Yes, but it is advised that you leave the treated area untouched for at least 24 hours.

You may find that there is no need for brow gel or mascara anyway. But if you wish to make them even fuller, a non-waterproof product is advised as the removal of waterproof makeup can be harsh and weaken the lift.

  • No. There will be no need as this treatment gives a much better result than a curler. More importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes in the long run.
